My Bubba is better than your Bubba

Well, My Bubba might not be right for everybody but he's the perfect guy for me. I would l put my Bubba up against any other Bubba out there. He's the best, I am so proud of him, he's the real deal and this Blue Fairy really could not be happier. Bubba went out on a limb today and really put himself out there for a job. He was honest and once again, his writing honestly and from the heart got him heard. He may not get the job, but they got the real deal. And after all, it's how he got me.

Okay, this is likely the last post you'll be forced to endure this week! This week is full of 7:30 a.m. meetings and evening classes, etc. My wonderful intern totally crashed on my this a.m. with a vicious flu virus and I sent her home...praying I don't get that bug.

Looking forward to this weekend. Bubba is looking forward to hosting poker and I am looking forward to seeing the Dalai Lama Friday morning and then heading to Chicago for a weekend with the girls and to see the musical Wicked. Have a great week everybody!!!!!!

A nudge from Zoonie

Okay, nudged by Zoonie after a multiple week absence, Blue Fairy returns to live journal. Hubby and I have been spending our time at the gym....he's on the verge of assuming the "gym rat" nickname. He's getting pretty buff! We are up to about 40 minutes of cardio (on the good days) and I'm eating ibuprofen to keep going. I finally caved in and made an appt (under pressure from hubby and our trainer) to see an orthopod on Aug 9th and finally address the long standing ouchy knee issue. Not too thrilled to hear any of that report but I can't do some of the "normal life" things I want because the pain and or mobility is stopping me. So off I go!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the ridiculous "Hoff" posting of recent weeks. Damn I had NO IDEA all that existed and it's just FUNNY! This is the guy I watched as "Snapper" on the Young and the Restless with my mom when I was in elementary school!!!!

John took me to dinner last night to celebrate my 36th birthday. We ran into friends who left before us and when the waitress brought the ticket, it was already paid! Really nice and a very generous surprise. We are very blessed by how many very wonderful friends (with and without cash!) we have!!!!

Saw this week that our friend that the actor that plays Silar on Heroes will star in a new Star Trek movie...maybe he can be a good guy for a change after slinking away through the man hole.

Taking vaca with cute and adorable hubby the week of Aug 6-10. No special plans yet...I'd like to take him to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center near Bowling Greene and we may do an Indy day trip or a Cincy trip. I don't care as long as I get to hang out with blue eyes.

Went the midnight Harry Potter release and at 12:30 nearly murdered the over-espressoed 13 year old in front of me waving a wand in my face. We dispparated to Kroger, got our two books and went directly home to read. John was done by Sunday at 2 p.m., I finished about 11 p.m. Monday. I am still sorting through the various outcomes. Overall it was not JK's best work. John suggested she could have used another year of edits and re-writes and I agree. It seemed very slapped together in places and the through lines were sketchy in places.
It really sucked that Dobby got it and I was deeply concerned about Lore when I saw how things were going. I was also relatively pissed that Remus AND Tonks went down. I also thought that as central as Snape has been throughout the book, the way he died and his role in this book was rather anti-climatic. I think he deserved better (either with story line development or life) after all he sacrificed.

Okay, you're sick of reading and a hubby waiting to snuggle!!!!

Blue Fairy out.
